Photo Dump

Girls' Camp was amazing! Even little Kasila helped out (while being bribed with ice cream) by going with me to the store the first night to get a few more things the girls needed.

Sis. Marriott, the 2nd counselor in the General Young Women's presidency, was there for 4 days! FOUR days! It was …. no word to describe it. I truly hope that the young women recognized and realized the amazing spirituality that woman had and brought. It was a once in a lifetime experience and they got to hear from her 3-4 times.

There were also devotionals by other people flown in. Sister Jeannine Lasky was one. She gave an excellent fireside on media, especially music. I really like the activity she did above. One group of girls read the 'duck' words, the others closed their eyes. They then switched and the other group read the 'speed' words. Depending on the words they recently had been acquainted with,  decided what vowel they filled in QU_CK. Did you see 'quack' or 'quick'?

Our Sister-Ward group heart attacked Sister Marriott! She was leaving that night so we couldn't do her RV, so we did the backdrop of where people spoke. We also had girls from other wards sign hearts for her. It was super sweet to see her reaction and know that our girls made that happen. :)

It's officially official. I got my diploma in the mail.

Yard sale find :) She loves it!

She likes the diving rings I got her… for her head.

Happy Father's Day Scott, Kasila ate your cookie. :) I forgot to get a picture of them together.

Kasila loved playing with her sorter at the Summers'. She would put the pieces into the tub, into her onesie, into the tub, into her onesie.
Kasila and Fischer! He is now in the MTC and getting ready to head to Warsaw, Poland for his mission. :)

Dandelion fuzz!

Just being cute…

Heritage Makers {consultant}

Okay everyone! I signed up to be a Heritage Makers consultant. I am not a big seller, but I do want you all to know that I really like this company. I have been able to stay {mostly} up to date on Kasila. It's easy to add photos and even get photos from others added in. It doesn't require an extra room in the house or little bits of paper all over the place!

There are 3 levels if you want to be part of Club HM that comes with a monthly fee ($30, $50 or $100) but you receive discounted publishing points and access to Premier templates & digital art. You use your publishing points to 'buy' your projects. You can make storybooks, canvas or metal prints, mugs, playing cards, ornaments, brochures, postcards (that they will address and ship directly), and much more.

I personally have been Club HM Bronze for the past year and have never had to pay any extra money outside of my $30 monthly fee for my projects besides shipping. I love it!

Let me know if you are interested at all! I am totally willing to share and help you get started. :)

Heritage Makers is also connected with the Youngevity company. I don't know too much about that part yet, as I have only dealt with HM. I do know that it has to do with nutrition. :) You can still ask me about it because I will be learning more.

My dashboard of completed projects

Where the magic happens: the Studio

Two of my completed projects that I have (some I've given away as presents).

Sandbox

We are in the middle of a digging for a different yard project, one that is going to take a long time, when we hit a layer of coarse sand. Then we had to move that dirt & sand out of that area and onto our driveway to help level the back corner of it. (I'm hoping to eventually pave it, but that is a few years away.)  Kasila decided that that was the best place to play.

Our driveway is longer and the dirt pile is quite aways from the road, but I still don't want her to get used to playing in the driveway. I got the great idea of using our excess sand in a sandbox for our little lady. It took a little convincing and repeatedly mentioning that she needs a sandbox, but we finally found a weekend that we could bust it out!

I looked a quite a few different designs online but we ended up making our own. I wanted a basic box with a bench that doubles as a storage area. This is where Scott and I differ in our approach to projects. I am totally a list maker and write it down planner. He is a "I'll think it out in my head." (I mentioned this to him and he said that he does it that way so he can change it without having to tell me if he changes things.) I had a few frustrating moments but overall, I was just happy to have his help. I'm not super confident in my power tool skills, even though I could figure out it if I needed too.

Baby K helping Daddy out. She was kind of nervous about the noise it made, so he brought her over and had her actually pull the trigger a little bit. Such a sweet moment to see. :)

Here is our final project!
It'll be a little while before we have enough sand dug up, but for now it will work as a dirt/rock box. :)

First Week Out of School

Hanging out with her friend, Brenna, and watching "The Pirate Fairy." Honestly, this only lasted for about 10 minutes, but it was cute while it did!

The last day of school has come and gone. I am all packed up and read to move classrooms. Most of my stuff is already in my new room, so I will be able to spend most of my time organizing in August.

My first afternoon home with this cutie pie! We took our walk to the mailbox!

Family night at Station 6-5. Kasila tried her hand at croquet and "the boys" got a frisbee out of the tree.

We've had a lot of warm, dry weather lately. Good for outdoor activities, bad for the massive wild land fire down by Soldotna. We got a fun pool for Kasila to play in.

It has started. Kasila is showing that she is able to make decisions. She would not let me put any other shoes on her. She would fuss and kick unless I had her dress shoes in my hand. This is just the beginning.

Last 4th grade Field Trip

Just in case people haven't heard…I am moving to 5th grade next year!  I've enjoyed my time in 4th grade and have worked with some terrific people. However, I am really excited to see what 5th grade has to offer.

That means that this year was my last year going on our over night field trip to Seward. Here are snapshots from the trip. I was very happy and please that Scott and Kasila were both able to join me! It made it much more fun!

Playing at the park! Seward has an awesome tot area in their playground.

Seward Sea Life Center

One of my student's pointed this out to me. I just had to be in front of the Z for it to be my name. :)

Kasila loved the boat!

Beautiful day!

They were tired!

Pacific Humpback Whale

A pod of orcas! One decided it wanted a closer look at the boat!

Kasila was still exhausted. Overall, a fabulous field trip for everyone that went!
