Earlier this summer, Scott and I set about making our rock walls for our fire pit. However, we knew that we probably weren't going to be able to finish it before this winter. We have some big plans for those rock walls and the fire pit area but I am kind of impatient when I want something. So, I decided to use some of my birthday money to buy a fire pit for our deck! We haven't used it yet, the wind is blowing and has a bite to it, but I am super excited about it! Now we'll be able to roast marshmallows and anything else we want during the cold, dark months. MMM... it just makes me feel all cozy just thinking about it.

Scott and I realized awhile ago that we use our grill a lot. Also, that we didn't have a place to store our grill accessories. The little hooks on the grill weren't working out. The utensils never made it back outside after getting washed, plus that would just make them dirty hanging out there in the wind and weather. That is where our hanging hooks came into play by the kitchen door. Now we have a place to keep them easily accessible yet still look organized. This space is still a work in progress--I think a shelf or a cute little sign above them would look swell--but it is a great start!
