Labor Day Project(s)

Labor day weekend just seems like a great time to get something done! Last year, Scott made me a shelf for my classroom. This year, we did a deep clean of the upstairs, changed the oil in the jeep, organized the garage, cleaned the inside of the jeep, and painted a room. Phew! And we still had some hours to just hang out together.

I'm most excited about our painting project!

Here's the before... we still had furniture and things in the room, just shifted over.

Scott measuring for the stripes! He's so sweet to me!

It's all taped up and ready to paint! The X's were to remind me which stripes to leave white.

 Me filling in the color.

Halfway done!

Peeling off the tape [while the paint was still a little wet to keep it from drying on the tape and peeling off]. It's looking pretty good!

The finished walls!

I am super excited that it turned out! The grey didn't bleed too bad. We used FrogTape instead of the normal blue painter's tape. I'm not sure if it's the tape or just a little more experience and patience on the prepper's part. All I know is that I'm really excited to finish cleaning up, organizing and setting up the room so it'll be ready when our little girl comes. I know it's still about 3 months away, but this is the first major thing that we've done to start getting ready for our new arrival!
