I have been back at work now for over a week. I have no idea how women go back to work after only 6 weeks! I loved my time home with Kasila and can't imagine having spent less time. Luckily, I was able to take of 10 weeks of school, plus have 2 weeks of Christmas break and 1 week for Spring break. All in all, I as able stay home until my little girl was 3 months old. Some of my time off was non paid because I'm still new enough to not have accrued a lot of leave. However, it was completely worth it!
A lot of people kept asking me how I was doing with going back to work. I think that I was able to come back to work, pretty happily, because I took so much time off. I didn't feel like I was being ripped away from my little girl. She has started getting in a routine and a little more predictable. Also, the people we have watching her are amazing and good friends. That really helps. She goes to one person Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Someone else on Thursday and gets to spend all of Tuesday chillin' with her daddy. Then I get to snuggle her all evening. :) The hardest part of going back to work was just getting up and having to be some place. I was also really tired the first few days. I wasn't getting my afternoon nap I had become accustom to.
After my first day back
This last couple days have been kind of hard. Both Scott and Kasila haven't been 100%. Sila has had a stuffy/runny nose. I'm getting a stuffy nose and sore throat too. Yay to being back around germy, little children!
